Push-Lock Washers
Push on Retaining Washers
Push Lock or Push on or Starlock washers are used to prevent lateral movement. They are used as retaining rings on bearing assemblies.
No groove required—press these rings onto the end of a shaft. Use them on unhardened shafts that are softer than the push ring. The ring bites into the metal to form an interference grip, so expect minor scratching.
- Durable and secure fastening
- Replaces circlips, split pins, bolts and nuts
- No preparatory work on the shaft necessary
- Cost-effective assembly solution – enables competitive costing
- Simplifies the design
- No thread cutting required
- Automated assembly process possible
- RoHS-compliant
External fixing washers for use not only on precision-machine shafts but also on tubes, cast parts, plastic shafts and studs. Available for shaft sizes 0.8mm to 10mm diameter.
The washers are held in an assembly tool and simply pushed on to the shaft causing the prongs to grip the shaft tightly, locking the washers in place with initial tension
Retaining Washers
A Plastic Retaining Washer is primarily used to hold screws and bolts in place during assembly and have a design that grips the outside of screw or bolt shank. Also known as an Anti Loss Washer, they provide insulation, cushioning and spacing. They help insulate fastening assemblies from moisture and electricity.
This washer range includes options with internal and external teeth with a tapered design. The washer slides/assembles on to the screw (or bolt) and is retained by the screw once assembled. The washer cold forms and fully enters the pitch of the screw to provide sealing.
These washers allow for preliminary mounting of the screw (or bolt) before securing with a nut. They are ideal when pre-assembly of the screw and washer is required.

Starlock Push Fastener
Starlock fasteners simply push on to a shaft giving an instant fix and grip, thus eliminating costly threading, drilling or grooving operations. Once fixed in position, the push-on fastener is so secure that it cannot be removed without destruction. High carbon spring steel is specially heat treated to ensure secure holding quality.
